Jump to navigation Jump to search

In order to connect your AIS system to IALA-NET you need to establish a secure connection between your own system and IALA-NET. This is done suing a so-called PROXY, which is a piece of software designed to connect to IALA-NET in a secure end pervasive manner.

In order to be able to receive data from IALA-NET you need the SUBSCRIBER PROXY.

In order to send AIS data to IALA-NET you need the PROVIDER PROXY.

Here is what you do:

1. Download the proxy’s from ftp.ais.dk/pub/proxy

2. Install the proxy’s on a computer that can connect to you AIS system, for AIS data, and have access to the internet

3. Copy the attached files to the directory you installed the provider/subscriber proxy in (there are a zip file for each, attached)

4. From the computer, with the proxy’s, make sure that you can connect to:

IALAnet server, external addresses (for the provider):

a. 188.64.154.89:25474

b. 188.64.154.89:25473

c. 188.64.154.90:25473

5. From the computer, with proxy’s, make sure that you can connect to: #IALAnet server, external addresses (for the subscriber):

a. 188.64.154.89:25472

b. 188.64.154.89:25471

c. 188.64.154.90:25471

Do some connectivity testing. For example: telnet 188.64.154.89 25473 and so on…

6. Start the provider proxy, and login with the following credentials:

Username: iala-p-XX

Password: XXXXXX

7. On the last tap, on the proxy, called “Provider”
