Confidence limits

The extremes of a confidence interval.

Note: In reliability the upper limit is 100% and therefore only the lower limit of confidence is usually stated. For example a stated 90% reliabiltiy with confidence level 60% means there is a 60% probability that the actual reliability is at least 90%.

Please note that this is the term as it stands in the original IALA Dictionary edition (1970-1989)
